Richard Earnest joined The Griffin Earnest Stevenson Group in 2023. Prior to joining Baird, Richard worked in public accounting for seven years where he earned the professional designation of Certified Public Accountant. He also has attained the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®. His understanding of tax strategies is an excellent asset to our team of wealth managers. Richard also had over 20 years of service as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He served as Medical Evacuation Pilot utilizing the UH-60 Blackhawk. Richard earned degrees from Mississippi State University and Mississippi College, and currently lives with his family in Houston, MS. Richard and his wife Hillary have one son, Samuel. He is an active member of the community where he serves on the boards of the Chickasaw County School District, Chickasaw Development Foundation and Houston Exchange Club. He is also active in the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and is currently participating in its Leadership Lafayette program. His family are members of Houston First Methodist Church where he is a member of the Finance Committee. Richard is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and biking.
